Freedom Transit, LLC opened its first van doors in March of 2010. One van, one guy! Owner, Gary Harris, created Freedom Transit with his Aunt in mind. As she was getting older and had to be in a nursing facility, he would go visit her. During family outings, she would always say when she got outside, “Ahhhh FREEDOM!”
To many of our guests, the ride to the doctor or from the hospital does feel like freedom. Many of them are experiencing some very unfamiliar situations. Staying in a facility, needing mobility assistance or riding in a wheelchair for the first time can be daunting. Many have had to leave their home of almost a lifetime and are now trying to figure out a new way of living. It’s just good to get out sometimes. In our business, we are incredibly fortunate to work with partners who we believe to be heroes. From hospitals to nursing facilities, we get to deliver our amazing guests from one hero to the next.
Today, we have many vans available and wonderful employees to continue providing the same great service that Gary provided as our foundation. Our goal is to be a bright spot in their day. We show them how important they are to us and we appreciate the opportunity to work with them. Through the years since opening our doors, we have met some amazing people and professionals. It has been our pleasure to have built lasting relationships and great rapport with hospitals, social workers, nursing facilities, hospice, case managers and many more. We are humbled to be the company you choose to transport your VIPs!
I cannot express my feelings for you guys. You are a part of the family. you have always taken such personal care of Mom, the love and kindness you put into every ride. We are so blessed that I saw you one day in dialysis parking lot.
